Four of Wands: Celebration
Another coincidence that I pulled this card on American Thanksgiving — I imagine the scene on the card is what a lot of U.S. households may be hoping to experience this long weekend (with less people and more masks though).
As a Canadian, we’ve had out Thanksgiving last month, but it’s a reminder to slow down and appreciate the many things that I have in my life that are good. Yes, it’s a pandemic. Yes, we can’t be with our families. Yes, we miss our friends. But, I think I’ve personally grown a lot during this time and I’ve learnt things that I might not have otherwise. The only way to make it through this time is to look for the bright side.

What it means: The couple and community are celebrating. The card shows fruitfulness and success and the accomplishment of something. The castle in the background could signify home and its comforts and security. The scene is reminiscent of a Jewish wedding ceremony.
The story: The Four of Wands represents a community celebration; a joyful and happy card that also symbolizes rest after hard labour or taking time to appreciate the rewards of the work or journey.
Reversed meaning: Reversed, the card means a celebration but of a personal goal. Alternatively, it could mean lacking community or feeling of belonging.
Reflection: The card feels like a very happy card, with the sunshine-coloured background and abundance of flowers and greenery. Perhaps, it’s a reminder that we should take the time to celebrate, be grateful and be appreciative, rather than moving on to the next goal or challenge.
